Rechargeable batteries AAA

Camelion rechargeable AAA battery

Rechargeable AA batteries are slightly thinner and slightly shorter than the AA. These aaa batteries, also called R03, you find it thanks to its small size in thinner equipment like: remote controls, walkmans / mp3 players, toys, etc.

Because it is used so much, it is so important for this battery that it work as long as possible. That is why this rechargeable battery together with the AA is the most developed by capacity, because the higher the capacity the longer it works!

The capacity of this rechargeable battery has been greatly improved. In the 1990s 250 Mah was standard, nowadays 1000 & 1100 Mah nimh has become common. Thanks to this further development, quickly emptying is a thing of the past, especially if you use a good charger.

This rechargeable battery also pays for itself after charging only 3 times. Don’t forget that it will last for years, because it can be charged up to 1000 times! Once again proof that a rechargeable battery are cheap.

One more challenge to go

There is one more challenge and that is the problem that the standard version of the NIMH rechargeable batteries suffer from self-discharge.

The battery slowly loses its charge (± 20% first month). So you cannot charge batteries in advance and leave them for when you need them in months. Chances are they are already (a little) empty when you need them.

Always ready
With the arrival of these Always Ready rechargeable AA batteries, that has also been solved. These batteries have the great advantage that the capacity decreases very slowly.

After six months only 10% has been lost, after one year only 15%, making them very suitable for purposes that do not use much electricity. Disadvantage, the capacity is lower.

Standard at Camelion
Camelion has gone one step further and has included the always ready 6-month technology as standard in all their rechargeable batteries without loss of capacity.
